#GiampaoloGarcea

Giampaolo Garcea was an Italian engineer who joined Alfa Romeo in 1935, initially working on aircraft-engine testing. After the war he became one of the key figures in the company’s experimental and development activities, serving as head of the Servizio Esperienze. He worked closely with Orazio Satta Puliga and Giuseppe Busso and was involved in the development of important post-war Alfa Romeo projects, from the 158/159 racing cars to the 1900 and later production models. Garcea was also responsible for numerous technical patents and played a leading role in Alfa Romeo’s research activities, later heading the company’s research centre.

We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
