#AutodromoDiMonza

The Autodromo Nazionale di Monza is an internationally renowned racing circuit located within Monza Park, one of the largest enclosed parks in Europe. Built in 1922, it is the third-oldest permanent motor racing circuit in the world, after Brooklands (1907) and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (1909). Monza has long been synonymous with speed and motorsport heritage, earning the iconic nickname “Temple of Speed” due to its ultra-fast layout and extended straights, which have made it one of the fastest tracks in Formula One. The Italian Grand Prix has been held at Monza an unmatched 80 times, making it the most frequent venue in FIA Formula One World Championship history. Over the decades, the circuit has undergone several transformations. The original layout included a combination of a road course and a dramatic high-speed oval with steeply banked corners. Although the oval was deemed too dangerous and fell out of use for F1 after the early 1960s, its remnants still exist, serving as a monument to Monza’s bold and sometimes perilous legacy. The modern configuration of the circuit measures 5.793 km (3.600 mi) and is famous for a series of iconic sections, including the Rettifilo Tribune (Main Straight), Curva Grande, Variante della Roggia, Lesmo 1 and 2, Variante Ascari, and the legendary Parabolica, renamed in honor of Michele Alboreto in 2021. Monza has witnessed some of the most spectacular and emotionally charged moments in racing history—photo finishes, record-breaking speeds, and epic drives by legends such as Juan Manuel Fangio, Alberto Ascari, Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, and Lewis Hamilton. The circuit remains a fan favorite, thanks in large part to the Tifosi, Ferrari’s devoted supporters, who create a uniquely electrifying atmosphere every time Scuderia Ferrari competes on home soil. Beyond Formula One, Monza has also hosted a wide array of prestigious international motorsport events, including the 1000 km of Monza, rounds of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), the FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR), Formula E testing, and even MotoGP in its early decades.
