Frazer Nash is a British sports car manufacturer and engineering company founded by Archibald Frazer-Nash in 1922. The company was established in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, moving to Isleworth, Middlesex in 1929. The company entered receivership in 1927 and re-emerged as AFN Limited
Note:
AFN Limited (Archibald Frazer-Nash Limited) was acquired by H. J. ("Aldy") Aldington in 1929 and run by the three Aldington brothers, H.J., Donald A. and William H. Aldy's son, John Taylor ("JT") Aldington was the last of the family owners/directors until AFN Ltd was sold to Porsche GB. The chassis was first delivered to AFN at Isleworth on 3rd December 1947 as a left hand drive, with engine 85A/1109 (as evidenced by the electric choke switch on the dashboard) for onward shipping to C A Drenowatz in Switzerland. The car appears back at AFN Isleworth at the end of 1949 with the body fitted by Pinin Farina. AFN then converted it to right hand drive and updated the engine to 85C/1109, by substituting the 3 SU D2 carburettors for 3 Solex 32BI units.
