#GranPremioNuvolari

The death of Tazio Nuvolari, which occurred on 11 August 1953, aroused great sensation throughout the world, in particular, moved the men of the Mille Miglia. To honor his memory, the traditional route of the Mille Miglia was modified so as to pass through Nuvolari's birthplace: Mantova. Since 1954 to 1957 (the last Mille Miglia edition) the GRAN PREMIO NUVOLARI was established, to be allocated to the fastest rider and then to be disputed on the long straights that run through the Po Valley, starting from Cremona and passing through Mantova, until the finish line in Brescia.
