Scuderia Lancia, which later evolved into Squadra Corse HF Lancia, is the racing division of Lancia. It was founded in 1951 by Gianni Lancia, son of the brand’s founder Vincenzo Lancia, with the goal of establishing Lancia as a major force in motorsport. In its early years, the team competed in endurance racing and Formula 1, laying the foundation for Lancia’s racing legacy. In 1963, Cesare Fiorio created the Squadra Corse HF (High Fidelity), marking a turning point for Lancia in competition. The HF badge, originally symbolizing the brand’s most dedicated enthusiasts, became synonymous with high performance and success. Under Fiorio’s leadership, Lancia shifted its focus to rallying, where it would go on to dominate international competition. With legendary models such as the Stratos HF, 037 Rally, and Delta HF Integrale, Lancia secured multiple World Rally Championship (WRC) titles, becoming one of the most successful rally teams in history. The legacy of Scuderia Lancia and Squadra Corse HF remains a reference in motorsport, symbolizing innovation, speed, and racing excellence.
