Scuderia Lancia, which later evolved into Squadra Corse HF Lancia, was the racing division of Lancia. It was founded in 1951 by Gianni Lancia, son of the brand’s founder Vincenzo Lancia, with the goal of establishing the marque as a major force in motorsport. In its early years, the team competed in endurance racing and Formula 1, laying the foundations of Lancia’s racing legacy. In 1963, Cesare Fiorio created Squadra Corse HF (High Fidelity), marking a decisive turning point for the brand’s involvement in competition. The HF badge, initially symbolizing the most passionate Lancia enthusiasts, soon became synonymous with high performance and success. Under Fiorio’s leadership, Lancia focused increasingly on rallying, a field in which it would go on to dominate international competition. With legendary models such as the Stratos HF, the 037 Rally, and the Delta HF Integrale, Lancia secured multiple World Rally Championship (WRC) titles, establishing itself as one of the most successful rally teams in history. The legacy of Scuderia Lancia and Squadra Corse HF remains a benchmark in motorsport, embodying innovation, speed, and racing excellence.
