#DonaldBastow
He joined Lagonda where he worked under the direction of W.O. Bentley as part of a team directed by him. He participated in the design of the V12 Lagonda and also the short-lived post-war version. In 1947 David Brown bought the Aston Martin and Lagonda companies and incorporated them as Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd.. Lagonda's 2.6 L, dual overhead cam, straight-six engine was the main objective in Brown's acquisition of the company. W. O. Bentley had supervised the engine's design, which the work was done largely by engineer Willie Watson and Donald Bastow.
We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
