#CorsaInSalitaSulleTorricelle

The Corsa in Salita sulle Torricelle was a historic hillclimb held on the roads rising north of Verona, in the area known as the Torricelle. Organized by the Automobile Club of Verona, the event took its name from the Torricelle hills, whose name derives from the nineteenth-century Maximilian towers built as part of Verona’s Austrian defensive system. The finish line was located between the Torrione del Telegrafo and Torricella Massimiliana. Held over 14 editions until 1957, the race became one of Verona’s best-known motor sport events and is also remembered for the participation of notable figures including Enzo Ferrari.
