It was a car race made on roads open to the public, played in various formulas and several years between 1948 and 1979. It was the first automobile race in the region after the war and after the Coppa della Perugina disputed 20s. From 1952 to 1954 the race was combined with the name of Coppa della Perugina. The organization of the race was interrupted and returned again only from 1977 to 1979. From 1990 it was organized a revival for classic cars.
