#AostaPila

The Aosta–Pila hill climb is a historic Italian motorsport event held in the Aosta Valley, featuring a demanding mountain route that climbs from the city of Aosta to the alpine resort of Pila, located at around 1,800 meters above sea level. First run in 1962, the course covers approximately 10 to 12 kilometers of narrow, winding roads with substantial elevation gain and a succession of challenging corners that test driver skill and vehicle performance under sustained load and altitude variation. Traditionally open to competition vehicles such as sports prototypes, single-seaters, and touring cars, the event has also included historic vehicle categories and is regularly part of the Italian Historic Hill Climb Championship (CIVSA). Known for its technical complexity, high-altitude setting, and spectacular alpine backdrop, the race continues to attract significant interest from both competitors and motorsport enthusiasts.
