#VincenzoLancia

Vincenzo Lancia (1881–1937) was an Italian engineer, racing driver, and industrialist who founded Lancia & C. Fabbrica Automobili in Turin in 1906. A former chief test driver and works racer for Fiat, he brought a racing mindset and a passion for mechanical innovation to his own company. Under his leadership, Lancia became renowned for its technical avant-garde, introducing pioneering features such as narrow-angle V engines, independent suspension, and monocoque chassis design. Vincenzo personally oversaw the development of each new model until his sudden death in 1937, shortly after completing the initial design phase of the Aprilia. His legacy shaped the brand’s identity for decades, emphasizing engineering elegance, understated style, and technical integrity. Even after his passing, many projects initiated under his direction—such as the final series of the Astura—were brought to completion by his trusted collaborators.

We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
