#TourDeCorse
The Tour de Corse is a rally first held in 1956 on the island of Corsica. It served as the French round of the World Rally Championship (WRC) from the series' inaugural 1973 season until 2008. After a brief stint as part of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) from 2011 to 2012, it returned to the WRC calendar in 2015. The name "Tour de Corse" originally referred to the rally’s format in its early years, when it covered a route that circumnavigated the entire island. In its modern iterations, the event has been concentrated on roads around Ajaccio. The Tour de Corse is run entirely on asphalt roads and is famous for its tight, winding mountain stages, earning it the nickname "The Rally of 10,000 Turns". This characteristic makes it one of the most technically demanding rallies in the world, requiring extreme precision from both drivers and co-drivers.
