Note: A photographic sequence documents Bob Path pushing the car hard, running long into a corner and leaving the track before making light contact with what appear to be soft fabric barriers, possibly intended for dust or noise control. The resulting dents on the left rear body side are visible in the same images. A later report also records an accident involving Jack Bates of Altadena during the main event, when his Ferrari left the course coming out of Turn 3 and skidded along the edge of the track. Bates was uninjured, while the car was described as “a little the worse for wear.”
