#ADLogan

A.D. Logan was a prominent privateer entrant and driver in the 1950s SCCA scene in the American South, closely associated with Texas-based sports car racing. Known for running powerful European sports-racers, including the Ferrari 750 Monza 0498M and a Maserati 300S, he entrusted drivers such as Ray Jones and, under the pseudonym “John S. Smith”, Carroll Shelby, to his cars in events like the Gran Carrera Lafitte at Galveston and the Mansfield Labor Day races. Often described as a fruit and vegetable importer, he famously arrived at Galveston with his cars on a refrigerated truck, a detail that has become part of the period lore surrounding his team and its activity.

We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
