Paris Celebrates 50 Years of Rétromobile

February 2, 2026

The 50th anniversary edition of Rétromobile, held from January 28 to February 1, 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, confirmed its status as the world’s leading show dedicated to classic cars. Under the patronage of the French Ministry of Culture, the event welcomed a record 181,500 visitors, up 24% from 2025, and received the FIA Heritage Cup 2025 in recognition of its contribution to automotive heritage.

Alongside it, the inaugural Ultimate Supercar Garage attracted 63,450 visitors, immediately positioning itself as a major European showcase for modern hypercars. Together, the two events created an unprecedented automotive celebration, uniting collectors, manufacturers and enthusiasts across generations.

Among the highlights were the Bugatti railcar from the Cité du Train, the BMW Art Car World Tour featuring the seven Le Mans Art Cars for the first time in France, and the official Gooding Christie’s auction, which achieved over €50 million in total sales and set a world record for a 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO at €9,117,500.

In this outstanding setting, Automotive Masterpieces presented two remarkable cars.

The 1950 Ferrari 166 Mille Miglia, chassis no. 0048/M, one of only five Touring-bodied Berlinettas and one of just two finished in light blue, boasts an intense racing history, including three participations in the Mille Miglia (1951, 1952 and 1953).

Alongside it, the 1969 Autobianchi Runabout by Bertone, chassis no. 41258, designed by Marcello Gandini and unveiled at the 1969 Turin Motor Show, embodied late-1960s innovation. Built on the A112 platform with Fiat 128 engine, this two-seater barchetta bridged heritage and forward-looking design.

Rétromobile now looks ahead to its New York debut in November 2026.
