At this stage, the chassis should be understood as the original road-car architecture from which the later Prodrive-built P25 was created, not yet as the completed P25 specification.

Note: Prodrive hand-built 36A engine on Subaru basis. The chassis identification plate records engine type 36A-032103-00, while the engine plate identifies the engine as model 36A, engine number 019, hand-built at Prodrive, Banbury, England, by Tony Fenton. The engine is based on Subaru’s EJ25 2.5-litre horizontally opposed four-cylinder boxer block, re-engineered by Prodrive with bespoke internal components, variable cam timing, Garrett performance road turbocharger, high-performance intercooler and Akrapovič titanium and stainless-steel exhaust system.

Note: Original two-door Subaru Impreza WRX GC8 body structure re-engineered by Prodrive for the P25 programme. The P25 body retained the late-1990s two-door Impreza silhouette, restyled by Peter Stevens, who had styled the original 1997 Impreza WRC. In P25 specification, the car received extensive carbon-composite body panels, including bonnet, boot, roof, sills, door mirrors, front and rear quarters, WRC-style rear wing and bumpers.
