Richard Hetmann was a German engineer at Porsche and a member of the development team responsible for the Porsche 901/911. He worked particularly in chassis and drivetrain engineering and was involved in transmission development, including Porsche’s synchromesh systems. By the early 1970s he was serving as Chief of Chassis Design at Porsche, reflecting his long-standing role in the company’s engineering development.
