Alessandro Genero, born in Turin in 1888. Self-taught, he obtained a higher degree Mechanics very late. In 1906 he joined Fiat as fitter in the manufacturing department of Revelli patented machine guns. Gradually makes career with assignments of increasing responsibility: head of the experience department, workshop leader, Director of the mechanical fabrications. From 1929 to 1940 is the production manager at the plant Lingotto and from 1940 to the Officine Mirafiori. Become a member of the board Fiat in 1946 and board member SEAT in 1950. He achieves a worldwide reputation as an expert in the field of production organization. He died in Turin in 1970.
