Tim Ritter was an American collector and dealer specialising in small-displacement Italian sports and racing cars, particularly the post-war etceterini. Based in Illinois, he was active from at least the 1980s and handled numerous rare Italian competition cars, both directly and as an intermediary. His activities brought him into contact with collectors and enthusiasts of marques such as O.S.C.A., Stanguellini, Bandini, Siata and Moretti. Ritter was familiar with many of the cars he bought and sold, occasionally providing information based on his personal recollections, although he was not engaged in systematic historical research.
