Stefano Volpi was a long-time collaborator of Giotto Bizzarrini and a mechanical technician in the Livorno operation during its formative years. Later accounts describe him as one of the people who worked alongside Bizzarrini from an early stage, preserving first-hand knowledge of the cars, the workshop and the working methods of the period. In subsequent decades he remained closely associated with the marque as a respected witness, consultant and technical reference in the historic Bizzarrini world.
