#SiataDaina
The Daina is a S.I.A.T.A. produced from 1950 to 1958. It was a Granturismo sold with both coupé and spider (convertible) bodywork; most of the spiders were bodied by Giovanni Farina (founder of the Stabilimenti Farina where the Dainas were assembled until 1953), while the coupés mainly received bodies by Bertone. Like all S.I.A.T.A. it was based on heavily modified Fiat mechanicals. In this case it was the Fiat 1400; the chassis was strengthened and shortened while the engine was tuned with new overhead valve heads, new manifolds, carburettors and sometimes Abarth exhaust systems.
We'll tell the story of this model on the occasion of its anniversary or when it will reach a sufficient number of cars.
