Sergio Limone was born in Turin on July 24, 1948, graduated in mechanical engineering, he joined Abarth in 1972, for the first three years he followed the engine department and then became an Abarth frame builder in 1975, where he will remain until 1993 when Lancia abandoned rallies . Thanks to him, the Fiat 131, Lancia 037, Lancia Delta S4, Lancia Delta Integrale were born. When the racing department was closed, he moved to Alfa Romeo, where he took part in the development of the Group C prototype car derived from the Lancia LC2, which however never raced and developed the Alfa Romeo 155 and 156 for the 90's Turismo Championships.
