Italian aviation figure and seventh post-war president of the Aero Club of Padua. The club was based at Bovolenta, near Padua, on what is considered Italy’s first civil aerodrome, built in 1909 in the Prati Arcati area. In addition to aircraft operations, the airfield also hosted automobile competitions, including the Padua–Bovolenta speed race. On February 18, 1910, it was at this aeroclub that the Aero Club of Italy was founded, at the initiative of Dr Leonino Da Zara.
