#RallyeDePortugal
The Rally of Portugal has been held since 1967. Its seventh edition, in 1973, was included as the third round of the inaugural World Rally Championship. The event was run annually from 1967 until 2002, then after a suspension it returned in 2007 and has been held regularly since 2009. During the 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s, the rally was characterized by a mixed asphalt and gravel route, whereas today it is contested entirely on gravel. Over the years the rally has also been strongly identified with its main sponsors, such as the national airline TAP in the 1970s and later Vinho do Porto, names that became inseparable from its history.
We'll tell the story of this event on the occasion of its anniversary or when it will reach a sufficient number of cars.
