#PrinceChulaOfSiam
Prince Chula Chakrabongse (28 March 1908 – 30 December 1963) was a member of the Thai royal family and a key figure in pre-war European motor racing. Educated in England at Harrow and Trinity College, Cambridge, he combined aristocratic status with a deep passion for motorsport. In the 1930s he founded and managed the White Mouse Racing team, created specifically for his cousin Prince Bira, who became a well-known driver in ERA voiturettes and other competition cars. Chula oversaw the team's operations and handled both the logistics and public relations, playing a pivotal role in bringing Thai royalty into the spotlight of international racing. Aside from his motorsport activity, he was also a prolific writer and biographer, publishing several books on historical and racing subjects. He married Elizabeth Hunter in 1938 and had a daughter, Narisa. Prince Chula died of cancer in 1963 in Cornwall at the age of 55.
We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
