Piero Ferrari (born in Castelvetro di Modena, 22 May 1945), also known as Piero Lardi Ferrari, is an Italian entrepreneur, industrialist and motorsport executive. The son of Enzo Ferrari and Lina Lardi, he joined the company founded by his father in the late 1960s and was appointed to the Ferrari Board of Directors on 13 September 1969. In 1980 he became Executive Director of Sports Management, overseeing the coordination between the factory’s racing and production activities. Upon the death of Enzo Ferrari in 1988, Piero was designated his universal heir, inheriting the family’s assets, including a 10% stake in Ferrari S.p.A. and ownership of the Fiorano Circuit. Today he continues to serve as Vice Chairman of Ferrari, maintaining the link between the company’s origins and its modern evolution.
