Ottorino Monaco, born in Montazzoli (Chieti) on 23 May 1901 and died in Rome on 28 October 1987, practiced the profession of dentist in his own dental clinic where he also had a good clientele of actors and celebrities. Passionate about motor racing, he was both a driver and a codriver. He became Vice President of ACI Rome. He was very attached to the engineer Giovanni Canestrini. Together they contributed to the construction of the Vallelunga racetrack.
