Mario Mannucci (Milan, May 31, 1932 – Gorizia, December 17, 2011) was an Italian rally co-driver, active both in regularity trials and in modern rallying. He began his career in the 1950s, gaining experience in endurance and road events, but the decisive turning point came when Cesare Fiorio chose him as co-driver for Sandro Munari in the Lancia works team. The Munari–Mannucci pairing became one of the most successful in rally history, securing victories in major international events at the wheel of the Fulvia 1.6 HF and later the Stratos HF. Known for his calm precision, strategic vision, and ability to read complex road books, Mannucci was a key figure in Lancia’s rise to prominence on the international rally scene of the 1960s and 1970s.
We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
