Luciano Conti (1922-1995) was an Italian entrepreneur, publisher, former sports car driver and influential figure in Italian motorsport. Active in road races, hillclimbs and endurance events during the early 1960s, he was also the first owner of Ferrari 250 GTO chassis no. 3445GT. In 1961 he took over Autosprint and, with Marcello Sabbatini as editor, turned it into Italy’s leading motor racing weekly. He later founded Conti Editore, publisher of Autosprint, Motosprint, Auto, In Moto and Guerin Sportivo, as well as several books by Enzo Ferrari. A close friend of Ferrari, he was President of the Automobile Club of Bologna, contributed to the development of the Imola circuit, and also held leading positions in Bologna’s sporting institutions, including Fortitudo Basket Bologna and Bologna Football Club.
