The first generation of the Lancia Delta is a mid-range hatchback automobile produced by the Italian car manufacturer Lancia from 1979 to 1993 in 525 231 units, including sports versions. The fruit of Giorgetto Giugiaro's pencil, it was born in the autumn of 1979, as a replacement for the Fulvia and, in part, for the Beta. It is a well-proportioned modern two-volume, with clean and squared lines, which breaks with the previous stylistic canons of the house.
