Co-owner of Delahaye and partner of Morane, Léon Desmarais was instrumental in the company's financial restructuring and industrial expansion. By the 1930s his direct involvement had diminished, but the Desmarais family—especially his widow Marguerite—continued to support the brand’s revival, including its re-entry into competition and the launch of the Type 135.
