#IsabelleHaskell

Isabelle Haskell (born 28 May 1930) later Isabelle de Tomaso, was an American racing driver and one of the key figures in the earliest years of De Tomaso. More than simply Alejandro de Tomaso’s wife, she was closely involved in the foundation and day-to-day life of the company, and is today described by De Tomaso itself as a co-founder of the marque in 1959. A former racer in her own right, she brought to the small Modena enterprise both practical support and a shared understanding of competition culture. Her presence belonged to the real working fabric of the company’s formative phase, and later sources also credit her with the inspiration behind names such as Longchamp and Deauville, reflecting her strong connection with the equestrian world.

We'll publish a biography on her on the occasion of her anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
