#HMSA

The Historic Motor Sports Association (HMSA) is an independent American organisation founded in 1977 to encourage the restoration, preservation and active use of historic sports and racing cars. Still active today, it serves as a sanctioning body for historic-motorsport events in North America and places particular emphasis on period authenticity: participating cars are expected to conform closely to the specifications and technology of the era in which they originally competed, rather than incorporating later performance developments. Its events accommodate historic production cars, single-seaters and purpose-built sports-racing cars, generally grouped according to age, type and engine capacity.

We'll tell the story of this association on the occasion of its anniversary or when it will reach a sufficient number of cars.
