#GustavBrunner
An Austrian engineer who began his career at Autodelta in the early 1970s, Gustav Brunner gained experience on sports prototypes before moving on to a long career in Formula 1. Known for his innovative approach to chassis and aerodynamics, he contributed to the evolution of Alfa Romeo’s racing cars at a crucial moment, when the Tipo 33 project was transitioning from its early iterations to more advanced tubular and later monocoque structures. His work on chassis design and rigidity improvements played a role in the transition from earlier tubular frames to the more competitive solutions that shaped the TT 3. His later career included design roles with teams such as ATS, RAM, and Minardi, where he became recognized as one of the most creative engineers of his generation.
We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
