The Grand Prix du Comminges was a celebrated French sports car event held annually near Saint‑Gaudens, in southwestern France, between 1925 and 1954. Part of the golden age of European road racing, and hosted many of the era’s top drivers and marques, including Bugatti, Delahaye, Talbot, Maserati and Alfa Romeo. The challenging circuit, laid out on closed public roads through the Pyrenean foothills. The event counted toward the French Championship in various years and included voiturette, sports car and Grand Prix classes. Typically organized independently by the local Automobile Club du Comminges, in 1949 it served as the official Grand Prix de l’ACF for sports cars.
