#GrandPrixDePau
The Grand Prix de Pau is one of the oldest and most prestigious street races in Europe. First held in 1930, it became a key event in the interwar Grand Prix calendar and is renowned for its demanding urban circuit winding through the city streets of Pau, in southwestern France. Known for its tight corners, elevation changes, and narrow roads, the Pau circuit tested the skill and precision of drivers and was often compared to Monaco. During the pre-war era, it attracted top-level drivers and manufacturers including Bugatti, Delahaye, Talbot, Maserati, and Alfa Romeo. The race continued post-war and became especially prominent in Formula Two and Formula Three categories, where it has launched the careers of many notable drivers. Its combination of technical difficulty, scenic setting, and historical significance makes it a cornerstone of French motorsport tradition.
