Giovanni “Gianni” Grimaldi (14 November 1917 – 25 February 2001) was an Italian journalist, screenwriter and film director from Catania. Active in cinema from the early 1950s, he wrote and directed many Italian popular comedies, often collaborating with Bruno Corbucci and later working with actors such as Lando Buzzanca, Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia.
