#GiornataDeiPrimati

The “Giornata dei Primati” was an Italian motorsport event held in Rome, typically at the Autodromo di Castelfusano, combining elements of circuit racing and performance trials. Active mainly during the 1950s, it featured production and Gran Turismo cars competing in class-based categories, often over short-distance runs or standing-start tests. The event attracted both professional and gentleman drivers and was known for highlighting acceleration, speed and mechanical performance rather than endurance, making it particularly suited to high-performance road cars. It formed part of the broader post-war Italian motorsport scene, in which road-derived vehicles were frequently used in competitive contexts.
