Long-time president and major shareholder of Delahaye, Georges Morane played a foundational role in the survival and industrial transformation of the company in the early 20th century. Although still officially in charge during the mid-1930s, his role became more institutional as operational control passed to Charles Weiffenbach. Morane remained a key figure during the launch of the Type 135 and the brand’s renewed commitment to motorsport.
