Donato Giuseppe Jannone was a gentleman driver active in Italian hillclimbs and road events from the early 1950s to the mid-1960s. He achieved notable results with Lancia Aurelia models, including 4th overall at the Messina–Colle San Rizzo hillclimb in 1951 and 2nd overall at the Castelfusano “Giornata dei Primati” in 1959. His activity is documented across numerous events in Southern Italy, such as the Giro delle Calabrie, Palermo–Monte Pellegrino, Coppa Selva di Fasano, Catania–Etna and Targa Vesuvio, where he consistently obtained class placings. Among his best recorded results are a 1st in class at the “Giornata dei Primati” (1959), a 1st in class at the Targa Vesuvio (1959) and a 1st in class at the Coppa Città di Catanzaro (1964), marking the later stage of his known competition career.
