#CumberlandSportsCarRaces

The Cumberland Sports Car Races were held at the Cumberland Municipal Airport in Maryland from the early 1950s through the 1960s. Sanctioned by the SCCA, they quickly became a cornerstone of the East Coast racing calendar. The temporary airport circuit combined long straights and fast corners, attracting a wide range of cars from Ferrari, Jaguar, and Porsche to American specials. Cumberland provided a stage where rising stars and seasoned privateers competed head-to-head, making it one of the most prestigious airport races of the SCCA National Championship era.
