The Circuit de Charade, also known as the Clermont-Ferrand circuit, is a motor racing circuit located in Saint-Genès-Champanelle, near Clermont-Ferrand in the Auvergne region of central France. Built on the slopes of the Chaîne des Puys volcanic range, its original 8.055-kilometre layout was renowned for its fast, undulating and exceptionally demanding mountain course, often drawing comparisons with the Nürburgring. The circuit hosted four editions of the Formula One French Grand Prix (1965, 1969, 1970 and 1972) and ten editions of the French motorcycle Grand Prix counting towards the FIM Motorcycle World Championship between 1959 and 1974.
