#CarloFerruzzi
Carlo Ferruzzi was a nephew of Serafino Ferruzzi, founder of the Ferruzzi Group, and belonged to one of Italy’s major agri-food, industrial and shipping dynasties. Although he is not known to have held an active managerial role within the group, he was reportedly a shareholder in several associated companies, including Calcestruzzi, Cementi Ravenna and Italiana Olii e Risi. Closely connected with the nautical world, he developed a reputation as a sailing photographer, following major regattas from fast motorboats and, at times, from helicopters. Sailing and racing yachts were deeply rooted in the wider Ferruzzi circle and later found their most famous expression in Raoul Gardini’s Il Moro di Venezia America’s Cup campaign. Ferruzzi was also an amateur motor-sport enthusiast: he competed in rallies during the 1970s, including events with a Lancia Fulvia, and owned other important cars, among them a yellow Ferrari BB.
We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
