Robert “Bobby” Rahal is an American racing driver, team owner and motorsport executive. As a driver, he won three CART championships, 24 CART races and the 1986 Indianapolis 500; as co-owner of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, he later won the Indianapolis 500 again as a team owner. He also raced sports cars, competed briefly in Formula One with Wolf, managed Jaguar’s Formula One team, served as interim CART president, and became one of the leading figures in American open-wheel racing.
