#Bizzarrini

Founded in Livorno in 1964, Bizzarrini was the marque created by engineer Giotto Bizzarrini after his departure from Ferrari and his work with ATS and Iso. The company’s production was limited in number but remarkable in technical ambition, combining racing-derived engineering with highly distinctive road and competition cars. Its best-known models included the 5300 GT Strada, the 5300 GT America and the competition-oriented A3/C and 5300 GT Corsa, all shaped by Giotto Bizzarrini’s preference for advanced chassis design, front-mid engine layout and uncompromising weight distribution. Operating on a small scale and under constant financial pressure, the company remained active only for a few years before the 1969 bankruptcy, yet its name secured a lasting place in post-war Italian automotive history. Bizzarrini’s significance lies not in production volume, but in the originality of its engineering, the coherence of its technical vision and the exceptional character of the cars built under its name.
