Attilio Camozzi, Cavaliere del Lavoro, who passed away on 2nd October 2015 at the age of 78, led the Camozzi Group for more than half a century. He was a point of reference not only within the whole Camozzi Group but also in the industrial panorama of Brescia and even farther. Attilio Camozzi was known for his great intuition, his open vision to the world, but above all for his honesty, strictness, perseverance, simplicity and generosity for the common good. His entrepreneurial history begun in 1964 when, together with his brothers Luigi and Geromino, decided to start their own activity for the production of pneumatic components for industrial automation. They first started with only one lathe installed in their house and then established in a very short time the first Camozzi factory in Lumezzane. The business went through a process of growth which led to the creation and strengthening of an industrial Group which is now present in 75 Countries through production plants, branches and distributors. Over the years, the Group acquired historical companies of the national and international industrial panorama thus diversifying its activities and leading to the creation of 4 divisions: Automation, Machine Tools, Textile Machinery and Camozzi Solutions Provider (raw material and mechanical machinings).

Attilio Camozzi was a great fan of veteran cars and was one of the founders and a member of the Mille Miglia Museum. From June 2008 till August 2014 he was Vice President and Director of the Associazione Museo della Mille Miglia - Città di Brescia.

For a short period, between middle 2014 and beginning 2015, he also held the position of President of Automobile Club di Brescia (ACI). Attilio Camozzi took part, with his car Lancia Aurelia B24S, in several editions of the Mille Miglia.
