#AttilioBettega

Attilio Bettega (Molveno, 19 February 1953 - Zerubia, 2 May 1985) was an Italian rally driver. In 1982, he joined the Squadra Corse Lancia after some years with Fiat. Bettega was unfortunately killed at the 1985 Tour de Corse aged 32; he lost control of his Lancia and crashed into a tree which killed him instantly. His co-driver Maurizio Perissinot survived the crash. This put safety pressure on Group B cars. Attilio, with his wife and co-driver Isabella Torghele, were father and mother of Alessandro Bettega, a rally driver too.

We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
