André Chardonnet, born October 8, 1923 in Paris and died August 20, 2005 in Bourges, was a French businessman. He was notably the importer of the automobile brands Lancia and Autobianchi in France. It also imported the Véritas, AC, Bristol, Neckar, Siata, Fiat-Polski/FSO, Zastava, ARO, Maruti, Bertone and Maserati brands. These brands were distributed via the Chardonnet Network, which at the height of its activity in 1986/1987 had 710 dealers and agents throughout France. André Chardonnet has always loved competition. He narrowly missed the podium in the Monte-Carlo rally in 1960, where he entered with a Citroën DS 19. The Chardonnet team was born in the hands of Jacques Levacher and his team.
