Albert Divo (1895–1966) was a celebrated French Grand Prix driver whose career spanned the golden age of motor racing between the World Wars. Known for his skill, elegance, and mechanical sympathy, Divo drove for leading marques such as Delage, Talbot, Sunbeam, Bugatti, and Delahaye. His most famous achievements include winning the Targa Florio twice (1928 and 1929) for Bugatti at the wheel of the Type 35B, and a series of strong performances in European Grand Prix events. A former World War I aviator, Divo brought discipline and finesse to his racing, becoming a respected figure both on and off the track. His legacy is honoured by Bugatti through the limited-production hypercar named the “Divo” in 2018, celebrating his historical victories and connection with the brand.
