#20thCenturyFox

20th Century-Fox Film Corporation was a Major American motion-picture studio founded in 1935 through the merger of Fox Film Corporation, established by William Fox in 1915, and Twentieth Century Pictures, the independent production company led by Darryl F. Zanuck and Joseph Schenck. Under Zanuck’s strong production leadership, 20th Century-Fox rapidly became one of the leading Hollywood studios, associated with a highly recognizable visual identity, an international distribution network and major stars such as Tyrone Power, Henry Fonda, Gene Tierney, Betty Grable and Marilyn Monroe. In the post-war years the company played a central role in the technical and commercial evolution of American cinema, especially through its early promotion of CinemaScope. Long counted among the major Hollywood studios, the company later became 20th Century Fox, before being acquired by The Walt Disney Company in 2019 and renamed 20th Century Studios in 2020.
