Extraordinary Ferraris at Cavallino Classic Modena 2024, the international Concorso d’Eleganza that annually honors the work of Enzo Ferrari in the city where it all began. This year, the Best of Show “Competizione” went to a car counted among the Automotive Masterpieces: the 1954 Ferrari 250 Monza with chassis no. 0466 M, one of two Pinin Farina bodied on a total of four built. Owned by Franco Cornacchia, it was 6th in class at the 1956 Mille Miglia. It is one of the highly selected vehicles on which Automotive Masterpieces has conducted its historical research, choosing to include it among its jewels. This victory at Cavallino Classic confirms our work and judgment. Another confirmation was the 275 Anniversary Award assigned to another Automotive Masterpiece: the 1965 275 GTS, chassis no. 07513, owned by champion Gigi Riva. Last car, but not least, counted among Automotive Masterpieces proudly shown at Cavallino was the 1955 Ferrari 250 europa GT, Chassis no. 0399GT originally owned by actor Sydney E. Chaplin, third Charlie Chaplin's son.
From May 17 to 19, the fourth edition of the Concorso took place, confirming its success: a limited number of carefully selected cars participated in an exclusive setting. 30 cars graced the historic park of Casa Maria Luigia, where participants experienced the extraordinary hospitality of Massimo Bottura, while Cavallino judges scrutinized the vehicles. Ing. Piero Ferrari, son of the founder, attended, adding special value to the event among several other notable guests. Luigi Orlandini, Chairman and CEO of Cavallino, emphasized that Cavallino, since its inception in 1978, has always had and still has the important responsibility of preserving and promoting the culture, knowledge, and passion surrounding the history of Enzo Ferrari and the true masterpieces constructed in Maranello. Orlandini also underlined the importance of bringing together remarkable excellences at an event increasingly enjoyable and open to all generations.
